Ahead of the Times & Riding Boots
Celeb super-stylist, Rachel Zoe (Nicole Richie, Lindsay Lohan, Cameron Diaz) has a guest editor appearance on Piperlime’s website right now and as I was looking at her list of “5 Must-Haves for the season”, I thought to myself, ‘pfft! We already talked about 4 outta those 5 here on Hot Mama Daily!” Let’s go over her list:
So does this mean I’m ahead of the times? Does Hot Mama Daily set trends? I’d surrrrre like to think so. But I won’t kid myself into thinking that. Maybe I should just get a job with Rachel Zoe? *Re-thinks it* Nah. No thanks. ;)
The only item I haven’t talked about in detail are riding boots. I touched on them a teeny bit this week with the 20% off sale Piperlime is having, but I didn’t really delve into it. My Hot Mama’s who love high heels won’t really feel the riding boot thing, because they’re basically just motorcycle boots and are for the most part, flat heeled. But it doesn’t hurt to look does it? Nahhhh!

“Gorge”. I can smell the leather through my computer monitor. You know that ‘brand new boot/shoes’ smell? Ay… Love the boot, but don’t love the price, $260.00 USD. Many of you may say, “stop being cheap, that’s not expensive at all for good leather and quality”, and I agree. But, I just can’t see myself doing it. I’ll just have to admire from afar, or wait for them to go on sale.
On Piperlime’s site, Zoe suggested wearing your riding boots with leggings and an oversized sweater. I agree. If you’re not comfortable with just leggings, you can always substitute that with some skinny or form-fitting jeans. Maybe something like this?
