Ask and Ye Shall Receive
Remember that Marc Jacobs Stam bag that I wanted so bad last month? Well I found it, and I will get it–well…kinda, sorta, but not really. Confused yet? Stay with me here. Now you all know how I always complain that as a new mom (and new homeowner) my budget definitely does not allow for me to pay hundreds or thousands of dollars on a fashion item, no matter how bad I want it, but I will still find a way to make my budget friendly wardrobe and/or accessories look fantabulous, but on the cheap (or close enough to it). I found a great handbag website that sells “designer inspired” handbags at much more affordable prices. Now, I realize that there are/will be many a fashionista that will scowl and complain that these bags are just knock-offs, but you know what? To each his/her own. I totally believe that women of ALL budgets can be hot and look good - otherwise, what is the point of this blog, right?
What a lot of people don’t realize is that these celebrities DON’T PAY A DIME FOR THOSE DESIGNER ITEMS! Most celebrities wear high fashion items to be photographed by paparazzi or at award shows, etc. with them. In other words, celebrities are walking billboards for most of these designers and don’t have to touch their bank accounts to get their clothes and shoes. Think about it…
OK. I will get off my soapbox now. On to the goodies.
Let me introduce you to Baghaus. Here is their description as stated on their About page:
“Baghaus.com is the one-stop destination for all of your designer style handbag needs. Whether you’re looking for the elegantly hip, the classically timeless, or the celebrity handbag trends currently spotted on the arms of Hollywood A-list fashionistas, you’ve come to the right place.”
Well, well, well. Elegently hip? Yep, that’s me. Thank you, Baghaus.
As far as the Baghaus’ legitimacy (you should always thoroughly investigate any website before making any purchases from a company you don’t know- take it from me, I do that for a living) I’m not worried about them as they have an “A” rating with the BBB and they were even featured on NBC’s Today Show. Definitely good to know.
Here is Rihanna rocking her ivory Stam bag last month
Le cute.
Here is the original Marc Jacobs Stam bag as I posted it a few weeks ago:
And here is a Baghaus model that is Marc Jacobs Stam bag inspired:
$52.99 USD vs. $1,300.00 USD? Uh, this is, like, a serious no brainer ladies.

Looks pretty close to me and yeah, the price definitely grabs your attention! Not sure how long I could keep mine white though. Somewhat messy?? That’s probably it! ;)

SP, you’re right. And I so thought long and hard about buying white vs. creme. I decided to go with the creme instead…what!? Who said that! Not me hubby (if you’re reading this)!!! ;)

Cream is a lot more forgiving ;) but then chances are pretty good that I would drop chocolate on it ;) I wonder if those Tide ” stain remover pens” work??
