Aveeno Essential Moisture Lip Conditioner: Product Review

Oh oh. Blistex’s got some competition. As I mentioned last year, I am hopelessly addicted to my Blistex DCT lip balm, but when the opportunity arose for me to try Aveeno’s Essential Moisture^TM Lip Conditioner with SPF 15, since I’m already a huge Aveeno fan, I figured why not?

Here’s how Aveeno describes the product:

“AVEENO^® introduces their Essential Moisture^TM Lip Conditioner with SPF 15 – a unique lip conditioner that provides long-lasting moisturization to condition and protect dry, chapped lips. This lip conditioner is enriched with natural oatmeal, long known to soothe skin, and a skin protectant to help protect and prevent dry, chapped lips. And, its exclusive blend of natural skin conditioners, including jojoba oil and shea butter, leaves lips feeling moisturized long after applying. This convenient stick form is hypoallergenic, ideal for everyday use and glides on easily with no waxy feel. And, it will even shield lips from harmful UVA and UVB rays with SPF 15!”

I’ve been using the product now for the past 2 weeks and true to the above statement, it DOES leave your lips feeling oh so soft, non-waxy, NON-MENTHOLY (know what I mean? It doesn’t feel like you’ve rubbed a peppermint candy on your lips).  Yep, works for me!
