Bright White

So apparently, once Spring/Summer hits, White is the new Black. Being from NYC, it’s almost a must to have an almost all black wardrobe. It’s just how we do. However, slowly but surely I’m getting out of that habit. Spring’s here and I’m ready to look cute in something in a bright white. Now as a new mother, keeping that white outfit clean is another story, but being the adventurous women that we are, we will try anyway, right??? Right.

I have a wedding reception to go to later this month and it is an all-white affair. Therefore this means shopping! Woo hoo! Being a new (lactating) mother of a 5 month old, I don’t really have too much time to go strolling through the malls, so online shopping it is…Lo, and behold, I found eDressMe and they have an entire section on white and ivory dresses. Perfecto.

It doesn’t have to be all about a dress though. J Lo rocked a cuuuuute crisp white pantsuit last week at the UsWeekly Young Hollywood Awards (Young Hollywood AWARDS??? What is that?? And better question: are they serious with these awards??? But I digress…) How cute is this outfit?

Hot. I’m sure her outfit cost a gazillion dollars, so I tried to find my own version. I found a cute one on the Ann Taylor LOFT website. The pants in the full outfit were not wide enough so Ann Taylor also has a wider version:

See? A full pantset for less than $140.00 USD. Sounds good to me.

Regardless of which I wind up going with (dress/pantsuit) I will top it off with some turquoise jewelry (chunky bracelet, and long/layered necklace) for sure. It will give it that freshness Summer-y feel that I’m going for. I’ll let you gals know in June which I wounded up with ;)
