Did you hear? Cavalli is teaming up with H&M!

I know I’m like 2 weeks late on this (blame “Summer family time!!!”-hee! I kid, I kid!) but did you hear that Roberto Cavalli is teaming up with one of my FAV stores, H&M this fall?! ? *Fanning self* Oh dear sweet Jesus, please take the wheel… The news is almost too much to bear.

Cavalli is just the latest in the string of celebrities/designers (Madonna, Kylie Minogue) contributing lines to the Swedish retail chain. His line will feature 20 menswear and 25 womens wear pieces, including lingerie and accessories. Says Cavalli,

“As the first Italian designer in the history of H&M, I enthusiastically welcomed this invitation, proud to bring the lively and positive spirit of my work to a new audience, who will be able to see and interpret my style in an individual way. I love freedom and challenges: breaking down barriers, experimenting in different directions. H&M is all this for me...”

Yes, Roberto, darling. You mention bringing this line to a “new audience”, and that new audience definitely includes yours truly because there’d be no way in God’s green Earth that I could afford you otherwise–wait, except those pair of sunglasses I got on clearance at a discount store, but I digress.

I welcome this new line and can’t WAIT to see what it has to offer. Cavalli’s H&M line hits stores November 8th 2007 at 200 H&M stores worldwide.

Hmm.. that means the line hits stores JUST in time for my return back to work in November(*waaaaahhh!* :( ) It will be THE perfect thing to spend my first back-to-work-from-maternity-leave paycheck on! Shh! Our secret! Hubby doesn’t have to know!
