Valentine’s Day Treat Pt I: The BabyDoll

Yeah, yeah, “V-Day” is coming very soon (next week in fact), so are you ready? Valentine’s Day is the type of day that you either love or hate. If you have a significant other/spouse then (potentially) it’s great, but what for my single Hot Mama’s out there? Who says you have a to have a partner in order to wear pretty undies/sleepwear? Puh-leeze! Any woman of any relationship status can rock any of these and do just fine, thank you very much. But just in case *giggle*, I’ll have segment during the week with more ‘toned down’ sleepwear, ‘kay?

I want to devote this week to Valentine’s Day sleepwear and intimates (I had a bit of a headstart this past weekend with the Carole Hochman post) and will try to post a different type of sleepwear each day this week.

So let’s start with one of my all-time faaaav’s: The Babydoll dress or chemise. Very simple item. And perfectly maternity and post-baby delivery friendly too. Covers the tummy and hips, and depending on the style can be super comfy.

Of course I can’t have a lingerie sleepwear post and not mention the Queen of all lingerie catalogs: Victoria’s Secret. Gotta start there first…Let’s take a look shall we?

I personally love the last one above. It reminds me of a “dress” Britney Spears (yes, BRITNEY SPEARS, I said it!!!!) wore back at the MTV VMAs in 2001. I remember obsessing over that *clearing throat* dress. And wanted to wear it for my birthday party that year. I was turning the big 2-5 that year. Needless to say, as always, I chickened out at the last minute adn didn’t even give another THOUGHT to wearing such a revealing dress in public. Ah, the foolishness of youth…
