Warms My Spirit
Last month I attended a bachelorette party for one of my closest childhood friends, Alison and at the same time she held a pamper party to introduce us to a new company she works with called Warm Spirit. Now, let me just say I’m not into passion parties, or Tupperware parties, candle parties, you-name-it parties because, well, I’m just not into those things. But since Alison is a near and dear friend of over 20 years I trusted her judgment and decided to give this company’s products a try.
First some background about the company:
Warm Spirit has been around for approximately seven years and was founded by herbal healer Nadine Thompson and entrepreneur Daniel Wolf . What sets the company apart is their focus on homeopathic and herbal wellness products. The company originally targeted African-American women (as Nadine Thompson is African-American herself), however now, men and women of all colors are loyal customers. Here’s a bit from their press release:
“Founded in 1999 by entrepreneurs and old friends Daniel Wolf and Nadine Thompson, WARM SPIRIT is an innovative player in the health and wellness marketplace and has managed, through design and outstanding products, to catch the eye and hearts of women and men of all colors.”
(For full details on the company’s background and how Nadine and Daniel joined forces to create Warm Spirit, click here.)
Like Mary Kay and Tupperware, Warm Spirit allows consumers to join the company as independant consultants, which my friend Alison is.
So now on to the good stuff. At Alison’s Bachelorette party she explained in detail numerous products that she had displayed. One item called “Special Attention Creme” caught my interest:
Alison described the creme as being good for problem areas of skin and/or helpful for itchy skin. I get occasional psoriasis break-outs on my lower calves and am ALWAYS on the hunt for something non-prescription/non-steriodal to relieve it. While the creme does not claim to cure anything, it’s focus is to relieve dry skin, which is the core problem behind psoriasis.
So did it work for me? It sure did. I used up the entire sample that Alison gave me and ordered a 2 oz. tub for myself which I use daily. I’m really into facial scrubs so I also ordered the Prickly Pear Exfoliating Facial
as well as their Essential Soap bar (also comes in liquid form).
I haven’t used those two products just yet (I just moved, waaayyy too many boxes to dig through!) but will definitely post my reviews of them the millisecond that I do.
So people, I encourage you to check out Warm Spirit, order some products (they have everything from candles to haircare, to what beauty items). If you’re into homeopathic and herbal based products you’ll love their stuff. Or let me know if you’re already a loyal customer and which products you recommend. Share the love! C’mon, I just did ;)
